Who Is Sheryl Underwood?

If you're a republican and don't know about Sheryl Underwood you need to be schooled!

Listen to her tell liberal, black, NPR host Tavis Smiley why republicanism is the right way to be here. Click on the link, "Friday Comedy: Sheryl Underwood." You must have Real Player to hear the interview.

Where Are the Anti-globalization Activists?

Everyone now knows that the congressional black caucus (who does nothing to represent the interests of black people, me included) penned a request to the United Nations asking for oversight of our elections. Where is the outrage? This is yet another example of the actual Americans wanting to place our future in the hands of the United Nations. This request comes from a group of people who failed to steal the election in 2000 and want the UN to step in to make sure that George W. Bush is not re-elected.

John Gibson of FOXNews' Big Story hits the nail on the head when he says that the world hates the fact that they cannot vote in our elections. Canadians, Europeans and Terrorists wish they could have a say in our elections; something so important should not be left to the "stupid" American People (as Michael Moore labels us). The request to the UN speaks of "voter disenfranchisement." This is code-speak; it simply means people are pissed that the outcome didn't go their way.

The request sent to the UN smacks of a run-around. This is similar to John Kerry trying to broker deals with communists as a JUNIOR SENATOR. Who the f*ck to these people think they are? The people that wrote this letter should be investigated and prosecuted if they violated ethics and laws by making this request. How do nine people speak for the entire nation? I believe in the UN as a forum for nations to air grievances--not as a ruling body. People were pissed over the 2000 elections, but if there were any PROVABLE malfeasance, we would have been in legal battles for years. The fact is that none of these emotional conjectures are provable; if the reviews by the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Florida Sentinel showed that Al Gore won, the Dems would have called for impeachment.

I guess my frustration is with people who think that the greatest nation on earth cannot run fair elections. This dilemma demonstrates the global bias to look to America's failings first. Nevermind the countless nations on earth that don't even hold elections or those that hold sham elections (remember, Saddam won with 100% of the vote in the last Iraqi "elections"); the UN only wants to discredit the American people. The people that made this request, blinded with hatred, will do and say anything to get affirmation--including selling our nation to the highest bidder. They refuse to believe, like academics with communism, that they are just WRONG!

I am getting so worked up I need to stop. What are your thoughts?

Does Whatever a Spider Can

I just got back from the movie and all these reviews are 100% correct; it is the best comic book movie ever made (with Batman Returns running a close second).

The Crawford Wives

Click here to watch the ad.

I give props to ads that are intelligent and thoughtful. Unlike most liberal organizations, NARAL tends to serve up some of the best ads for abortion. Here is one featuring Republican women.

The message really doesn't have any weight; since the world isn't perfect infanticide should be okay? This smacks of, "if America cannot solve everyone's problems, it should solve no ones."

But on a purely objective level I think the ad is very effective. What do you think? To remind you of what NARAL feels is a "choice," look at this 12-week year old fetus (less than 90 days old) "choosing" to yawn.

Past Polling Palisades

Kitty Litter (or Saint Litter as I think of her taking such great care of her ailing mother) dug up some old poll numbers to give us perspective on their ability to predict the outcome of elections. She gave me three different sites to check out and I want to pass them along to everyone.

A Look Back at the Polls

On 1/22/84 Mondale and Reagan were tied at 45%--and in July Mondale was up 48-46

200,000 Short

Punditry is a difficult thing and the job numbers out this morning prove it. Only 110,000 new jobs created in June. But is June typically a time when people hire full-time employees? What do you think?

Our Dirty Laundry Gets Out of School at 2:30

Someone please hand Bill Cosby a medal! I am often ridiculed by other blacks for not acting "black," so Bill Cosby's words are warmly received. Here is what he said at a PUSH Coalition rally in Chicago:
"It is almost analgesic to talk about what the white man is doing against us, and it keeps a person frozen in their seat. It keeps you frozen in your hole that you are sitting in to point up and say, 'That's the reason why I am here.' We need to stop this,"

"There is a time, ladies and gentlemen, when we have to turn the mirror around,"

"I couldn't care less about what white people think about me at this time,"

"Let them talk! What are they saying that is different from what their grandfather said? What are they doing or trying to do us that their grandfathers didn't try to do to us? But what is different is what we are doing to ourselves,"

"Let me tell you something, your dirty laundry gets out of school at 2:30 every day, it's cursing and calling each other n------ as they're walking up and down the street,"

What if John Kerry Wins?

William Matthews writes for Defense News and interviewed John Kerry about the future of the Department of Defense if he were elected president.

Head to Head on Defense from Defense News research

Allies
John Kerry

Says the United States "must launch and lead a new era of alliances. Shredding alliances is not the way to win the war on terror or even to make America safer. We can magnify our power through alliances. We simply can't go it alone."

George W. Bush

Says the Unites States should always see cooperation from allies, but there is a difference between leading a coalition of many nations and submitting to the objections of a few. "America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our people."
Missile Defense
John Kerry

Would reduce spending on missile defense, arguing it is not a high priority during the global war on terror.

George W. Bush

Vows to develop missile defenses based on the best available technologies, to be deployed at the earliest possible date. Thes defenses will be designed to protect deployed forces abroad, all 50 states and American friends and allies overseas.
Modernization
John Kerry

Wants to modernize the military, concentratiting on capabilities required for urban warfare. Priorities would be non-lethal weapons, such as directed energy, and networks and communications gear.

George W. Bush

Supports transformation that stresses unmanned aerial vehicles, precision munitions and digitized communications that deliver information and intelligence to aircraft, tanks and ground troops. Favors a new generation of nuclear weapons and space-based radar and communications systems.
During the article, Kerry makes the following statements:

--He has to keep raising defense spending because of the war on terror and to fix all the equipment broken in the war so far.

--Delay missle defence and cut back other weapons programs to add two new divisions to the Army; one division of fighting forces and another division of peace keepers (military police, cultural specialists and lawyers).

--Declined to specify what other programs will be cut.

--Wants to "modernize" the military but did not say what that meant.

--Blames the Bush administration for all its failures in the Iraq war saying they did not look at any alternative battle plans and did not have enough troops on the ground.

--Lauds the fact he served in the military, went to chemical and biological warfare school and was on the Narcotics Terrorism committee.

--Will repair all those "broken alliances" and reach out to foreign leaders like Hosni Mubarak and King Abdullah (who Kerry said has been to his home).

So what does this tell us? It tells us that John Kerry still doesn't get it. He talks about funding the Defense Department because of this burdensome war on terror--but if we were not fighting he would be cutting programs left and right.

Also, doesn't firmly grasp the danger of ballistic missile technology. He claims that missile defense is a waste of money and wants to put more boots on the ground. I agree with the more boots on the ground but what a waste it would be if these two new divisions were wiped out in a missile strike from Iran.

New Bush Ad

The Bush ad answers John Kerry's claim that he authored a war on terror years ago in his book, The New War: The Web of Crime That Threatens America's Security. Specifically, it points out the obvious--the title. Kerry actually said that the greatest threat to our security was crime. Actually, Kerry might believe this book is about terrorism as he thinks terrorists are committing crimes and not acts of war. Let's serve them with a summons!

Pat Curley at Kerry Hater's wrote an excellent post about Kerry's committment to recycling and how he likes to recylce old ideas.

Unfunded Mandates

George W. Bush is NOT spending enough on education! The chart says so...oh wait, twice more than Bill Clinton in half the time? Oh, my bad.

Bias in the Funniest of Places

Bounce through the anti-Idiotarian Rotweiller to Blackfive and read about an upcoming vote giving the Defense Department the ability for rapid procurement in emergencies. I took Blackfive's advice and wrote my Senators here in Maryland (gag). While at Sen. Barbara Mikulski's site, I noticed something funny about her dropdown list to send her a message...see if you pick up on the theme:
Abortion
Aids in Africa
Animal Testing
Appropriations
Child Gun
China
Death Penalty
Defense Spending
Endangered Species
Environment
Federal Employees
Genetically Engineered Foods
Gun Legislation
Hate Crimes
Health
Human Rights
Humanitarian Aid
Immigration
Internet Tax
Iraq
Judiciary
Military Pay
Minimum Wage
Nuclear Test Ban
Postal Service
Seniors
Social Security
Space
Tax Cuts
Veterans
Water Quality
Wildlife-Wetlands
World Trade Organization
This list typifies Democratic thought in this country. First, her list lacks basic items like Roads/Transportation; to complain about my crappy commute I have to select Other. Beyond what's missing, people should notice all the qualifiers after certain issues.

There is no issue called "Defense" only "Defense Spending;" there is no "Military" its "Military Pay;" its never "Taxes" but the evil "Tax Cuts."

She even lists "Nuclear Test Ban," "Animal Testing," and "Offshore Oil" without mentioning basics like "Energy," "Housing," or "Children" (but she has "Child Gun").

Welcome to America! You'll Regret Coming...

Edgar B. Anderson reviews the subject matter taught in standard ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to recent immigrants in today's Front Page Magazine. He exposes an agenda by the writers/publishers to irradicate any patriotism these immigrants might hold for their new country. Here is a taste:
As an aside, it should be noted that the most famous wall of our era, the Berlin Wall, covered in the source book Talking Walls, is not featured in High Point. But this oversight is arguably a blessing since the Talking Walls author served up the following to her unknowing young readers:
The Berlin Wall, constructed in 1961 [By whom? We do not learn.], became a physical part of an invisible barrier that had divided Eastern and Western Europe since 1945. [Were the hundreds of miles of barbed wire fences, minefields, watchtowers, armed guards, and attack dogs invisible?] At that time Winston Churchill, the leader of Great Britain, called this invisible barrier the ‘Iron Curtain’ because he believed the Soviet Union wanted to divide countries and take them over. [Thank goodness it was only his opinion.] Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union at that time, thought this invisible wall would protect his country from further invasion.” [And not to trap fleeing East Germans inside a Communist Hell. Insert laugh track here.]
You can read the rest here.

Econometriculations

Econopundit gives us hope...but as he points out, people use models to predict global warming. I'll pay for global warming research if the 2004 elections actually looked like this:

I also want to toss around two new taxes proposals. First, the Volunteer Tax: I think there should be a box on the 1040 that you can check volunteering yourself into a 70% tax bracket. This box is primarily for people like Ioccoca, Streisand, Jobs, Moore, etc. Then when they rant and rave, they can produce their tax returns and demonstrate that they paid more in taxes thereby making their references to "tax cuts for the rich" more credible.

The second tax came up during dinner with my mother, her friend Lynne and her son Nicholas the other day: The George Bush Freedom World Tour Tax. I would pay 10 cents on every dollar I spend to pay for increasing our military to 2 million, have them paid like doctors, and ask them to pay a visit to North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Sudan, Nigeria, Cambodia and revisit Vietnam.

Where the Money Is...

CNSNews reports that Jesse Jackson is now going after NASCAR for not having enough black drivers stating, "negroes can drive cars fast." What cars, Jesse? Gettaway cars?

I had brunch with my grandfather several months ago and Jesse Jackson came up. My flippant (and accurate) response was, "he's a criminal." I usually respect my grandfather's democratic leanings. He did tell me a story when a black man died at the hands of officers in Cochise County, AZ. And no investigation was done into the death until Jesse Jackson came to Sierra Vista, AZ, and spoke out.

This is the kind of story I respect; anyone's death should be investigated and the fact it wasn't speaks to the racism of the time. But Jesse Jackson is still a criminal. Why NASCAR? One, Jesse Jackson wants to infultrate the political phenom of, "NASCAR dads." NASCAR dads (the notties version of the nineties "Soccer moms") are conservative and Jesse Jackson wants to paint them as racists to discredit their political leanings.

Also, NASCAR stopped funding Jesse Jackson's PUSH coalition in 2003. I believe this is the primary reason for his new cause: money. When NASCAR finally stopped donating money to Jesse Jackson, they are racists.

Moore, Soros, Dean Still at Large

Ann Coulter
The Americanization of Iraq proceeds at an astonishing pace, the Iraqis are taking to freedom like fish to water, and the possibilities for this nation are endless. It's hard to say who's more upset about these developments: the last vestiges of pro-Hussein Baathist resistance in Iraq or John Kerry's campaign manager.

The New York Times ran a front-page news story on Sunday about how life was better for Iraqi girls under Saddam Hussein -- living under Saddam, that is, not the girls who were literally under Saddam, Odai and Qusai while they were being raped. The article was titled "For Iraqi Girls, Changing Land Narrows Lives." True, they don't have to run from Odai's rape rooms anymore. But apparently not a single Iraqi female has been admitted to Augusta National Golf Club since the liberation!

Moore Lies and Lies and Lies

I never thought I'd EVER cite a review/article from MSNBC/Newsweek but I believe this is a fair analysis of Fuck911.

Check out the critique here.

Brain Terminal

Thanks to Crush Kerry, I've seen an excellent blog complete with videos and interviews of idiots.

Blogroll Brain Terminal.

Evan Coyne Maloney is quite a looker too!

Kosovo Quagmire

"General Clark, don't you feel you should apologize to the American people for your war crimes like bombing this boys home and bombing the Chinese Embassy? Shouldn't you admit that you had no plan? What was your plan after sending planes to bomb people at 14,000 feet for months on end? How come you did not get UN support? How did this make Americans any safer? Where are the WMDs?"

Captain's Quarters shows us the obvious. Everyone is calling Iraq a quagmire and no one seems to notice we still have troops and the UN bumbling around Kosovo.

Save a WMD attack, I see only 40,000 troops in Iraq after two years. Iraq will become the next South Korea. I also see us rotating a total of 40,000 troops into Afghanistan. Call me crazy, but I see a point to invading the two countries on either side of Iran first...

Spidey!

The reviews are in and it's supposed to be excellent! I always go to movies.com because they aggregate all the major reviews into a 5 point system. Spiderman got a 4.5 out of 5. Check out the review here.

Tom Brokaw's Befuddlement

Befuddlement, an expression common to Representative Maxine Waters, fell upon Tom Brokaw when the Iraqi PM said something completely crazy: Saddam had ties to terrorists.

Check out the complete article on NewsMax by way of Crush Kerry.

Anti-Americanism Is Revived Anti-Semetism

Here is my review from this decent book (gave it three out of five stars):
The most important thesis in the book is not one he addresses in full: Anti-Americanism is a new label for the tried and true Anti-Semetism.

John Gibson's writing style is much like my own in college--I used to beat around the Bush making strong parallel arguments but never coming right and saying exactly what I mean.

This is a departure from Gibson's "My Word" on Fox News. Unlike his contemporaries, he speaks with clarity like Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard. The chapter titles in the book are just as straight-forward, but he doesn't connect the dots until the last few paragraphs of each.

The book, like MisUnderestimated by Bill Sammon, is written like an ongoing dialogue; Gibson would make a much stronger argument if he goes beyond saying, "yes they hate us," and saying, "they hate us for the same reason they hate the jews in Europe."

The book is a quick read, and for that I give it 4 out of 5 stars. If you read this book knowing ahead of time that he is trying to draw parallels between anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism you will get more from the book if you are simply reading it to figure out why everyone hates us.

That fact should be clear before even getting past the Preface.

Nothing Surprises Me About the Left Anymore!

By way of Andrew Sullivan, dig these new pics:

The one on the right will be on the back cover of the Nation Magazine.

Bush the Next Thatcher

NewsMax has an excellent article with a British journalist who likens President Bush with PM Thatcher.

Sanchez Ordered Iran Invasion

Why didn't we do it? From what I know, Iran's army is very conventional and could be dealt with solely from the air. Oh well, I guess Israel will take care of them soon enough.

Hillary Clinton: Communist

Right from the mouth of Karl Marx:
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
--Senator Hillary Clinton, Closet Communist

Michael Berg: Mourning Jackass

I am reposting this because Michael Berg has struck again! Check out this article.

What do Ron Reagan, Jr. and Michael Berg have in common?

(Michael Berg second from left)

They are both disgustingly capitalizing on the death of a family member using the death to promote their own political ideaologies.

Michael Berg is a member of the radical, left-wing, socialist/communist organization called ANSWER. Nicholas Berg, who terrorists murdered by sawing off his head, did not subscribe to his father's politics. Nick Berg supported the liberation of 25 million Iraqis and, in the conservative-capitalist spirit, went to Iraq to both help the freed people and to make money for himself. Nick Berg supported President Bush.

Ron Reagan, Jr. is using his father's passing as a soapbox to further his own political agenda. President Ronald Reagan was not only a conservative, but he wanted to defeat liberalism. He was unapologetically religious (Christian) and spoke frequently about his faith and against abortion (in fact, he wrote a book on the sanctity of human life). Riding on his mother's wave of grief, he is promoting stem cell research and using the controversy to score political points against the president.

Everyone grieves with these families, but we should now begin to question their motives. Most people want to HONOR the memory of their loved-one. Most people would speak about the ideas and dreams of the deceased, not trash them. If I had a son or brother who worked for Green Peace and died in pursuit of that cause, I would honor his life by making a donation or speaking at a Green Peace event. I would not go to a rally against Green Peace and shout, "Green Peace murdered my son."

Ron Reagan, Jr. and Michael Berg are disgusting individuals. Their activities show that they truly do not honor their dead relatives; instead they essentially say that President Reagan and Nick Berg were idiots and died in vain. Michael Berg cannot see past his politics to go and speak to Iraqi organizations in the US and tell them to continue to support his son's work so that he did not die in vain. Ron Reagan, Jr. should speak out against stem cell research because that's precisely what his father would do.

Larry Elder discusses Michael Berg and Ron Reagan, Jr. in two very good articles.

Party of Peace #2

This is totally rich. A book now discusses ways to assassinate President Bush.

Jesse Jackson Is a Joke

So now he's calling the Republican party--the party of Lincoln (you know, the president that freed the slaves)--the Confederacy. Jesse Jackson assumes his place on the "Retire Already!" list with Madonna and Bill Clinton.

Check out great posts on Kerry and Jackson at Kerry Haters here and here.

WMD Went to Syria

Here is yet another report stating Syria took Saddam's arsenal before the invastion.

We Will Rise Up Like Mountains

World Net Daily reports that 15 groups of Iraqi's will be publishing a letter in USA Today thanking Americans for our sacrifices to ensure their liberty:
"Just as we mourn for the victims of Saddam's regime, we also grieve for the Americans and Iraqis who were killed or injured during the liberation or by terrorists determined to hold us back," the letter reads. "We will honor those who have sacrificed for our freedom by building a new Iraq that lives in peace with the nations of the world, without fear of war, torture chambers or terrorism."
Moving words:
"Iraq is now at a setback, but it is temporary. We will rise up like mountains, standing firm, and we will protect all people regardless of religion, color and every other consideration. Pluralism should be a factor of progress, not divisiveness," said Iraq's new interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi as he took office Monday morning.

Check Out This Tomfoolery!

Sly Bri of Tomfoolery.

Right Wing Right Minded points us to a blog called Tomfoolery. The interesting bit of information is the lie it found in Fuck911.
The woman who lost her son in Iraq was a very sympathetic person. Who doesn't feel for a mother who has lost her son? I cannot be the only person who caught this, but I think others have and are afraid to mention it for fear of seeming insensitive. (I myself have wavered over writing this, and I only get 150 hits a day.) The woman who lost her son said that when she was told, "she dropped the phone." I thought I heard that wrong, but a moment later she said she was all alone and had "no one to hold her up." I was outraged. The United States military informs next of kin directly, without exception, no matter where they are. For example, they went deep into the mountains in Mexico to inform a lost soldier's mother directly. I am not calling the woman a liar, but I am sure that Moore intended to leave the impression that our military is completely insensitive.

Another 300,000 New Jobs?

Polipundit says this is the number kicking around the Labor Department. That's a LOT of jobs, but Jayson at polipundit wants you to vote on which media outlet will be able to turn this into a "bad news" story. He gives you the option of a fill-in-the-blank for #5. Here is my prediction:
5. John Kerry: "Yes, 300,000 is nice, but what about REAL jobs for REAL Americans like we had under Clinton. You remember, 25 year olds making $80,000 a year with no real world experience working in boutiques with an inhouse Starbucks with play rooms and all the workers got around on rollerblades. That's the kind of job creation I'm talking about."

Letter from Vets4Bush

FORWARDED BY: http://Vets4Bush.com
----------------------------------------------------
From: AABufalo@aol.com
Date: Mon, 28 Jun 2004 08:37:43 EDT
Subject: Letter to the Terrorists in Iraq
To: AABufalo@aol.com

This letter is for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, ''Islamic Response,'' and the rest of the so-called "insurgents" in Iraq. I obviously do not have an e-mail address for these vermin, so I am forwarding this letter to my entire address book in the hope you good people will forward it to as many people as possible, and that eventually through the miracle of the internet it somehow ends up in the hands of the intended recipients. Thank you all for your assistance.

To the terrorists currently operating in Iraq,

I see that you have captured a U. S. Marine, and that you plan to cut off his head if your demands are not met. Big mistake. Before you carry out your threat I suggest you read up on Marine Corps history. The Japanese tried the same thing on Makin Island and in a few other places during World War Two, and came to regret it. Go ahead and read about what then happened to the mighty Imperial Army on Tarawa, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. They paid full price for what they did, and you will too.

You look at America and you see a soft target, and to a large extent you are right. Our country is filled with a lot of spoiled people who drive BMWs, sip decaf lattes and watch ridiculous reality TV shows. They are for the most part decent, hard working citizens, but they are soft. When you cut off Nick Berg's head those people gasped, and you got the media coverage you sought, and then those people went back to their lives. This time it is different. We also have a warrior culture in this country, and they are called Marines. It is a brotherhood forged in the fire of many wars, and the bond between us is stronger than blood. While it is true that this country has produced nitwits like Michael Moore, Howard Dean and Jane Fonda who can be easily manipulated by your gruesome tactics, we have also produced men like Jason Dunham, Brian Chontosh and Joseph Perez. If you don't recognize those names you should. They are all Marines who distinguished themselves fightin! g to liberate Iraq, and there will be many more just like them coming for you.

Before the current politically correct climate enveloped our culture one of the recruiting slogans of our band of brothers was "The Marine Corps Builds Men." You will soon find out just how true that is. You, on the other hand, are nothing but a bunch of women. If you were men you would show your faces, and take us on in a fair fight. Instead, you are cowards who hide behind masks and decapitate helpless victims. If you truly represented the interest of the Iraqi people you would not be ambushing those who come to your country to repair your power plants, or sabotage the oil pipelines which fuel the Iraqi economy. Your agenda is hate, plain and simple.

When you raise that sword over your head I want you to remember one thing. Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun is not alone as he kneels before you. Every Marine who has ever worn the uniform is there with him, and when you strike him you are striking all of us. If you think the Marines were tough on you when they were cleaning out Fallujah a few weeks ago you haven't seen anything yet. If you want to know what it feels like to have the Wrath of God called down upon you then go ahead and do it. We are not Turkish truck drivers, or Pakistani laborers, or independent contractors hoping to find work in your country. We are the United States Marines, and we will be coming for you.

Dangerous Divorces

Jack Ryan's divorce papers were unsealed last week leading to a firestorm of controversy leading to his withdrawl from the senate race in Illinois.

Um, can I see John Kerry's divorce papers from his first wife? Please?

The Party of Peace

If you read the first chapter of Bill Sammon's, MisUnderEstimated, entitled "Rise of the Bush Haters," you will see that the anti-war, party of peace is a sham. The groups in the book even assaulted members of the gay softball league staying in the same hotel as President Bush simply because they were wearing suits.

Check out how a moviegoer was attacked by Moveon.org supporters in Las Vegas, NV, for simply not agreeing with the protesters.
