My Lie

The New York Times' review of Bill Clinton's My Life states:
The book, which weighs in at more than 950 pages, is sloppy, self-indulgent and often eye-crossingly dull — the sound of one man prattling away, not for the reader, but for himself and some distant recording angel of history.
In other words: "ME, ME, ME, ME! I need to be in the spotlight and everyone is against me!"
When did the New York Times hire an honest reviewer? Or do they want to scuttle the book before it overshadowed John Forbes Kerry's campaign?

HMMMMM!

The Company You Keep

Not so long ago (I am only 27), my parents told me that people judge you by the company you keep. Someone should point this out to people getting ready to vote.

What I cannot understand is how droves of PhD’d professors (who are supposed to be the smartest people on earth) share their political candidates with Hollywood celebrities and the children they teach. How do you explain what you’ve done with your life if, after all this time, your ability to make decisions and judge character is identical to that of children, drop-outs, drug addicts and sexual miscreants? So instead of spending all that time reading, I should have joined a band and got high my entire life…

To use words I learned in college: American liberalism is an egalitarian construct that’s sole purpose is to offer an alternative to wisdom. The very second you step on campus the educrats demand you “unlearn” everything your parents, family and faith taught you. Four years later you leave with more questions than answers; and unless your parents taught you something that survived all that “learning” your life is doomed to confusion.

Do I need to reinvent the wheel to know how to drive a car? How many more millions need to die before people understand communism is evil and will never work? Does someone need to know the process of combustion to know that he/she should run from fire? We've watched Madonna—I mean Esther—"learning" her entire life in front of our eyes and, to date, she is still an idiot.

I say things work because they work. Democracy works, capitalism works, morals work, God works. I guess if education was actually about not having to relearn the past, but accepting its outcome as a lesson, then a lot of professors would be out of work. So when you go to vote for a Democrat, please wonder why your voting for someone who’s supported by people who will live their lives without ever knowing one fact or one true thing.

They are still debating the definition of the word is.
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear" (2 Timothy 4:3).
Amen

Call Me Esther!

That's right; the slut has changed her name from Madonna to Esther.

Now if she could just change her address to another planet.

Retire already!

Selling Us Out

David Horowitz pens a great article on FrontPageMag.com about how Democrats and their cheerleaders are selling one of the biggest lies in history about the accomplishments our brave soldiers and brilliant leaders have made so far in the war on terror.

This is the campaign of the Big Lie and its success depends on the very fact that it is a big lie. Its aim is to shift the very terms of the argument to a terrain favorable to the critics who have been refuted by the events themselves – a terrain entirely irrelevant to the reality of the war itself. To respond to this campaign would require of its targets candor and courage, because the only way to confront it is to impugn the integrity, honesty and goodwill of those who so maliciously prosecute it. Unfortunately, the Bush Administration does not seem up to this task of calling its critics to account. This is why it is on the defensive and in serious trouble in its political campaign.

Mrs. Bush's Oatmeal-Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Whose cookies would you rather eat?

Hers? Or hers?

The French know food! They know little else...

Each election year, Family Circle magazine holds an Election Cookie Cook-off to find Americans' favorite cookies of the election season. This year, Mrs. Bush shares a recipe for her delicious Oatmeal-Chocolate Chunk cookies. Here's the recipe:

1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar 1 1/2 cups light-brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3 cups quick oats (not old-fashioned)
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 1/2 packages (8 ounces each) chocolate chunks (3 cups)
2 cups coarsely chopped dried sour cherries

Heat oven to 350°. With electric mixer, cream butter and both sugars. Beat in eggs one at a time, then beat in vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and oats; slowly beat until blended. Stir in walnuts, chocolate and cherries. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown. Makes about 8 dozen.

Admit One, Nancy Pelosi

She has now moved to the head of the "needs-to-be-pimp-slapped" class after uncovering these nice tidbits from our friends at the Free Republic:

*sued President G.H.W. Bush in a bizarre attempt to let Saddam Hussein get away with taking over Kuwait.

*admitted she was "devastated" when the U.S. began its ouster of Saddam in 2003.

*called a resolution to support American troops "a bitter pill."

*whined after Saddam's defeat, "We could have probably brought down that statue for a lot less."

*in 1996 voted against a bill that would "make it easier to deport foreign terrorists."

*did a Kerry-style flip-flop on the Patriot Act, which she voted for, after opposition to it became trendy.....Even fellow liberal Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., has said the ACLU could not cite one abuse of the Patriot Act.

*said in 2002 (yes, after 9/11), "I don't really consider ourselves at war."

*voted for Bill Clinton's record tax increase and against President Bush's tax relief.

*described the enormously successful welfare reform, which even Bill and Hillary Clinton backed, as a "war on the poor."

*has voted at least eight times against banning gruesome partial-birth abortions.

*has cruelly voted at least twice against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act.

Nancy Pelosi? Or the Joker?

There are few successful women that need to be pimp-slapped...but this Baltimore native is heading toward the front of the line (although she is still behind Maxine Waters).

The woman whose "policy initiatives" resort to simple name-calling decided to introduce a brand new package of tax incentives to stimulate job creation and economic growth.

What's that?? Tax incentives? True to form, the "American Jobs Plan" bill is plagerized from an assortment of republican bills that were already passed (with democrats voting against them)!

CNSNews did an excellent rebuttal piece:

"The irony of this whole re-packaged plan of Republican ideas is that one, Democrats are already on the record opposing some of these initiatives; and two, this is not a 'new' plan at all," NRCC Communications Director Carl Forti said in a press release.

"Republicans recognized the need for legislative action and passed bills years and months ago to help create jobs and to continue economic growth."

"Our plan is focused on the future," Pelosi said in a June 16 press release. "It creates two new tax incentives targeted to companies that will create new jobs in the United States." The NRCC points to legislation -- H.R. 2 -- which created tax credits for American businesses, a proposal that 198 Democrats voted against.

Pelosi said the Democrats' job plan also "invests in our people through job training and education."" Well, said the NRCC, HR 1261 expanded job training programs, but 193 Democrats voted against it.

Pelosi said the Democrats' plan "will create new technologies -- and new, high-paying jobs -- by supporting research and development." According to the NRCC, HR 238 addressed investment in new technology, research and development to create jobs -- but 154 Democrats voted against it.

Pelosi said the Democrats' plan "would pay for itself by repealing $125 billion in existing tax breaks for large, multi-national corporations that do not create American jobs" (companies that outsource jobs, in other words).

"To stop the hemorrhaging of American jobs, we must close these tax loopholes, invest in our people, and create the new technologies that will lead to tomorrow's jobs," Pelosi said at the press conference.

"Why would Democrats espouse Republican ideas in an election year?," the NRCC asked in a press release. Because those Republican ideas work, the NRCC concluded.

Russian Intelligence Warned of Iraq Attack Against US

Going with my "Don't Believe Your Lying Eyes" theme, I guess we should all ignore the fact that Russian intelligence services warned our President that Iraq was planning terrorist attacks WITHIN the US after 9/11.

Doomed to Repeat It

The most striking aspect of the political debate is the simplicity of it. You have one side (the right) who chooses to follow proven methods of engagement; you have another side (the left) who chooses to follow methods that always fail but suggest, "it'll work this time; trust us!"

Can we afford it?

Don't Believe Your Lying Eyes

Main stream media (MSM) strikes again!

Bill Keller, Executive Editor of the New York Times, is a fellow alum from Pomona College. The New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times CBS, ABC and NBC all headlined with "No Ties Between Saddam Hussein and Al Queda Commission Found."

This is an outright lie. Who said it was an outright lie? The Commissioners! They said there was a link between Al Queda and Saddam Hussein since the early 1990's.

I will work on getting something posted on my college's website asking for Keller to personally retract his lies...why don't you also write the New York Times, the college paper and magazine as well? They did a cover story on him only months ago...

Weapons of Mass Destruction

John Trever 06.18.03

I bit my tongue following an article in the World Tribune that outlined a report delivered to the UN Security Council which stated Iraq dismantled and moved its WMD to Syria. I only heard one other article stating this claim on WND.com but didn't want to jump to conclusions. I figured I would wait until more media outlets started reporting on this.

But to my surprise (not), the mainstream media did not report it. But I found two other sources for this information so I feel comfortable posting it.

I Personally Caught Al Franken Lying!

I visited a site hosted by Richard of Richardland.com. He created and supports sites challenging the validity of Michael Moore and Al Franken's claims.

I watched a streaming video of Al Franken's recent appearance on Tough Crowd, a Comedy Central show hosted by Colin Quinn. Al Franken tried to defend George Soro's likening of the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandle to the 9/11 attacks (commonly called liberal moral equivalency). He did this by quoting Golda Meir saying, "She said we can forgive you for killing our children, but we can never forgive ourselves for killing your children."

That quote was WRONG!

Golda Meir never said that the Israelis needed forgiveness for anything. She said, "We can fogive the Arabs for killing our children, but we can never forgive the ARABS for forcing us to kill their children."

Michael Moore Is a Big Fat Stupid White Man

AMEN!

We all weathered through the first of many propaganda films this summer; thank God it sucked (the Day After Tomorrow).

Now there's a swell of grassroots-type films and books to combat Michael Moore's propaganda.

Remember, it's not about his politics, it's just that he makes stuff up. Instead of waving a wand and saying Abra Cadabra, he ambushes people and leaves much on the editing room floor.
